
Dr. McCarthy graduated from Michigan State University with high honors and a Bachelor of Science Degree in human physiology. He received his Medical Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 1999, graduating in the top twenty percent of his class. Dr. McCarthy continued his training at Tulane Medical Center by completing an orthopaedic residency there in 2004. During residency, he received multiple distinguished awards, including the Sherman Award for outstanding second year resident and the Thibodeaux Award for the senior resident that best exemplifies leadership and intelligence. He served as Administrative Chief Resident from July of 2003 to June of 2004.
Dr. McCarthy completed a fellowship in pediatric and adult spine surgery in 2005. He currently specializes in treatment of all spinal disorders with a special emphasis in minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal deformity and cervical spine procedures.
Dr. Chambliss Harrod will be joining The Spine Center on August 15, 2012. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences. He received his Medical Degree in 2006 from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, where he graduated first in his class and received the LSUHSC Orthopaedic Award. Dr. Harrod graduated in June of 2011 from the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. During his residency, he received the General Surgery Intern ABSITE High Score Award, the HCORP Anatomy High Score Award, and served as a Harvard Medical School Anatomy Instructor.
Dr. Harrod is currently completing a Fellowship program at the Rothman Institute at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for Combined Orthopaedic/Neurosurgical Spinal Surgery. He has been actively involved in research with multiple publications including journal articles, review articles, and book chapters on both spinal topics as well as general orthopaedics. Although well trained in anterior and posterior decompression, fusion, and instrumentation techniques for the occipital, cervical, thoracolumbar, and sacral spine, he has a particular interest in disorders of the cervical spine.

Christina Landry, PA-C graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2004. Prior to attending the PA program at LSU she attended LSU in Baton Rouge from 1998-2002 concentrating in Kinesiology studies.
Christina is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. She is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants.
Christina has 11 years of experience in Orthopaedics with the last 7 years specializing in spinal conditions and spine surgery. She has worked as a Physician Assistant with the Bone and Joint Clinic in clinical and surgical roles under the supervision of Dr. Kevin McCarthy since 2008.

Meegan Domangue, PA-C graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2003. Prior to Physician Assistant school, she graduated from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1998.
Meegan is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Baton Rouge Physician Assistant Society. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Meegan has background experience in general neurology and urgent care. She currently works part time in the Spine Center. She has worked in general orthopedics at the Bone & Joint Clinic under the supervision of Dr. David Pope since 2009.
Chelsea Jasper, FNP-C graduated from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, LA with a Master of Nursing concentrating in Family Nurse Practitioner in May of 2011. Prior to attending the NP program at LSU she attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. Chelsea is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Nuring and is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Chelsea has five years of nursing experience, with the last four years specializing in emergency medicine. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner with the Bone and Joint Clinic in the clinical and surgical role under the supervision of Dr. Kevin McCarthy since November 2011.

Adaire O’Brien is the Clinical Research Associate at the Bone and Joint Clinic. She has a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She also holds a B.S. in Biology and a concentration in Business from The University of Dallas. Adaire has experience in academic epidemiologic research at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. She has also worked in research commercialization at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, where she collaborated with university physicians and worked to facilitate research endeavors. She is currently working with Dr. McCarthy to develop and execute clinical research studies in his spine surgery practice.
